Objects are items that can be bought with in-game money to place in your House. They are your defence against intruders to stop them from stealing from your Vault or killing your Family. Several objects fall into several categories and as such, are listed multiple times below.

Obstacles[ | ]

Obstacles are game objects that block the intruder's path (or visibility) without causing damage.

Note that the intruder has access to many tools which are specifically weapons, such as the crowbar, club and gun. As the intruder carries them and they are not placed in the house, these are listed under tools rather than here in game objects.

Powered Objects[ | ]

Tiles which conduct, control or react to electricity. These objects all have pairs of turquoise connectors on their sides. Note that, while all of these have something to do with wiring, not all are conductive (pass power through).

For a discussion of wiring and creating circuits as a topic, see wiring.

Switches[ | ]

Switches are game objects that are triggered by intruders, pets and family members, turning wiring sequences on and off. Family will only trigger panic buttons, whereas players and pets will only trigger the others.

Powered Mechanisms[ | ]

These will change state according to whether they are powered or not. Some conduct electricity to other adjacent components, but others do not.

Mobiles[ | ]

Mobile game objects are able to move independently within the game, although first require to have sighted the robber. Mobiles can trip different switches, as well as being rendered unconscious or killed.

The Panic Button and Wife's gun are also technically classed as mobiles, but do not move and cannot be killed.
